Loving God

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

We love God with all our mind, and all our heart, and all our soul. We look to scripture to determine God's word on what that love should look like. We also spend time in prayer, fasting, and meditation regularly to communicate with God directly. Pastor Madi loves to end her prayers with, "Talk to ya' later God."

James 2:1 AMP

My fellow believers, do not practice your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of partiality [toward people - show no favoritism, nor prejudice, no snobbery].

We believe that every man or woman should be treated with dignity, grace, and holy love. Scripture tells us to show no favoritism, nor partiality towards others. We need to look at everyone as Jesus does; not by their appearance, where they're from, what they believe, or anything else. We attempt to love everyone as Jesus does.

Loudoun Valley Church of the Nazarene is committed to befriending followers and non-followers of God, acting in a compassionate manner and being willing to serve God and one another. We have learned that honest gestures of grace and mercy is the most meaningful way to embody the love of God, and that when we focus on building up others- loving them, encouraging them, supporting them on their journey toward Christ we, in turn, find true happiness. What We Believe -

WE BELIEVE in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

WE BELIEVE that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

WE BELIEVE that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

WE BELIEVE that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

We are a Church of the Nazarene.

In 3 simple words that means:

Christian, Holiness, Missional.

The Church of the Nazarene is a global denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. We believe that God
empowers us to live a holy life and continually fills individuals and the church with love for God and for all people.
